At the beginning of November, The SSE Hydro hosted the infamous Andy Murray and Roger Federer for a night that delighted tennis fans from all over the country.
The event saw Murray take on “The Fed” on a purpose-built court in front of a crowd of 12,000, before Andy partnered with brother, Jamie, to play a hilarious doubles match against Tim Henman and legend Mansour Bahrami.
Crowds were sent into uproar as a special appearance from Still Game favourites, Victor and Winston, took everyone by surprise. Comedian, Rob Brydon, also appeared in the crowd. It was the first time an SSE Hydro event has been broadcast live on Eurosport, so viewers at home were also treated to the excitement.
Over £700,000 was raised for charity from the main night and a fundraising dinner the night before. Funds will be split equally between UNICEF and local charity, Sunny-Sid3up.
