Courteeners + Gerry Cinnamon

A BELTER of a show!

The SSE Hydro was jam-packed for the Courteeners and special guest Gerry Cinnamon.  The crowd erupted as Gerry appeared on stage with hit song ‘Sometimes.’ The atmosphere was electric, and it was clear that Gerry had become a bit of a legacy in his hometown of Glasgow. The crowd were up for some of the loudest sing-a-longs of their lives with more fan favourites ‘Lullaby’, ‘Belter’ and ‘Kampfire Vampire’, before getting stuck into familiar cover of dance classic ‘Discoland’. Up next came new song ‘Canter’, before finishing with ‘Diamonds in the Mud’, a fitting finale about his love for Glasgow and the people in it!

With the crowd well and truly warmed up, a piper kicked things off for the Courteeners with ‘Flower of Scotland.’ They began with some of their best loved tracks from the past 11 years, roaring anthem ‘Are You in Love With a Notion?’, ‘Cavorting’ and ‘How Good It Was.’ The energetic atmosphere continued with new songs ‘Better Man’ and ‘Hanging Off Your Cloud.’ Frontman Liam Fray showed off his impressive vocals with three acoustic songs before heading into the band’s swaggering encore tracks. Fans go wild for the impressively powerful ‘Modern Love’, ‘Not Nineteen Forever’, and ‘What Took You So Long?’ Fray and bandmates thanked Glasgow for a gig that “might be the best ever.”
