Last Thursday I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Take That Odyssey tour at The SSE Hydro, I honestly don’t think I was mentally prepared for the unbelievable night that I had ahead. Everything from start to finish was exactly how you’d picture the perfect concert experience to be!
6:30pm on the dot the doors open and as you can imagine, the ques were pretty huge at this point, but with the clubhouse upgrade ticket (which is only £25pp) we walked straight through the hospitality entrance with absolutely no ques and no waiting in the cold!
We were straight away met by a lovely lady in the hospitality team who gave us both a wristband and escorted us up to the new Clubhouse. Here we had our own private table for the duration of the evening, we both started off with a bottle of beer and enjoyed the amazing panoramic view of the arena. The menu was perfect, fuss free street food to suit everyone’s taste from vegan burgers, taco’s and of course fully loaded steak burgers with beer battered onion rings- the portion sizes were also extremely generous, so make sure you go hungry! Every meal is served with fries, but you can also pick an additional side too within the package, some of the amazing sides consisted of drool worthy halloumi fries, salt & pepper chicken wings and loaded beef chilli fries. If that still leaves you wanting more, then for a small extra cost you can go for a S’mores cookie sandwich, some Glazed Doughnuts or a delicious chocolate brownie milkshake to name a few!
The service was extremely attentive and quick, the drinks menu also has an amazing selection of beers, wines and Instagram worthy cocktails, the waiters even took our drinks order which would be ready and waiting on our private table on the intermission or end of the show.
Now it was time to head down to our seats which were so close I could see Gary Barlow’s facial hair, it was just the most surreal experience and I think I well and truly lost my voice!
If the show wasn’t amazing enough, the clubhouse upgrade gives you access to the lounge for up to one hour after the show, which saves you missing the crowds of people leaving the arena whilst you can just chill, have a drink and buzz about how great your night just was!!
Anyone can upgrade to the clubhouse experience, as long as there is availability and you have a ticket to any SSE Hydro gig, then I honestly cannot recommend it enough, I don’t think I want to gig any other way ever again!! 😉
