A short film competition
The SSE Hydro has been ranked the second busiest arena in the world, welcoming 1.2 million visitors every. single. year AND we’ve been lucky enough to host some of the BIGGEST names in music on our stage.
This September marks our 5th birthday and in celebration of this, and Scotland’s Year of Young People, we’re looking for aspiring young filmmakers to give us your take on the Hydro;
- What it means to Glasgow
- The experience of attending a gig here
- The impact it has had on you and the city
This is your chance to win £4k worth of film equipment, a mentoring session with an experienced filmmaker, city-wide exposure and 4 tickets to a gig of your choice!
Whatever your personal response is, whether it’s a documentary, narrative fiction, experimental, promotional or a music video - if you think you can sum it up into a short film, read on…
All entries will be put before a panel, including The SSE Hydro’s Head of Live Entertainment, and a shortlist of 4 will be selected.
If shortlisted we’ll get you in for a pre-production meeting, set up a mentoring session with an experienced filmmaker and kick-off the creation of your 2-minute short film.
The overall winner will be decided by public vote in August.
