Biggest 80s and 90s Disco
What do whisky, a fine wine, your fave jeans and Haddaway’s classic tune “What Is Love” all have in common?
They all get better with age of course!
The hottest gigs are notching up the nostalgia levels, with so many artists reuniting and hitting the road again. Clad in their best spandex and neon legwarmers, glitter covered Glaswegian music fans enjoyed a trip down memory lane at The Biggest 80s and 90s Disco at The SSE Hydro on Friday 10 May.
The crowd were treated to all their favourite hits, with performances from some of the biggest and best from that era including; Alphaville, Haddaway, Jenny B of Ace of Base, 2 unlimited, La Bouche, Turbo B/ex Snap! and Corona. Pyrotechnics, a break-dancing Chewbacca and a huge dancing robot ensured the party didn’t stop with a disco in between performances!
Let’s face it, the 80s and 90s weren’t exactly the best era when it came to fashion or hairstyles. However, these decades produced some of the best feel good music of all time. For one night, why not grab your glow sticks, take yourself back to a simpler time and dance the night away with your pals while belting out No Limit? Sounds like a great Friday night to us.
Make sure you don’t miss similar events at The SSE Hydro!
