‘Troublemaker’ Olly Murs brought hordes of devoted fans to The SSE Hydro for a spectacular sold out opening night of his 2017 UK arena tour. From young first time gig goers to die hard dancing grannies – this cheeky Essex chap is a showman for all ages.
Olly’s boundless energy and constant hip shaking flirtation with the captive Hydro crowd, started the party atmosphere from the get go. He didn’t fail to disappoint, performing all his chart-topping hits. The up tempo opening number You Don’t Know Love and fan favourite ballad Dear Darlin’ were pop perfection at its finest!
Towards the end of his set Olly urged fans to put their phones away for a ‘crazy ten minutes’ before launching in to a medley of upbeat guilty pleasure covers including; That's The Way I Like It, Never Too Much, U Can't Touch This and Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling.
Number one singles Troublemaker and Dance With Me Tonight followed (with the Glasgow crowd belting out every word!). Finally, returning to the stage Scottish flag in hand, an encore of Kiss Me and Years & Years finished the pop-tastic show.
