Scottish Event Campus

The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) features the SEC Centre - five interconnected exhibition and meeting spaces, the iconic 3,000 seat SEC Armadillo and our most recent addition, The SSE Hydro – a 13,000 capacity concert, sporting and special events arena.  With its infinite flexibility, the campus has gone from strength to strength and, with planned expansion and development, will continue to position Glasgow on the world stage.  

SEC Armadillo

Designed by world-renowned architects Foster + Partners, the SEC Armadillo is a Glasgow landmark with a unique style and practical, comfortable facilities for up to 3,000.

SEC Centre

SEC Centre offers five interconnected exhibition and event halls with a combined area of over 22,000sqm.    

SSE Hydro

A truly iconic structure, the 13,000 capacity SSE Hydro is Scotland’s home of live entertainment and is consistently ranked by Pollstar in the top three arenas globally.

Accessibility

Travelling by Train

If you are travelling by train, disembark at the Exhibition Centre station where a lift can take you to street level. A covered walkway connects the station to The SSE Hydro. The West entrance to The SSE Hydro is on the left as you exit the walkway.

Parking

The main car park is the multi-storey at 10 Stobcross Road, G3 8YW, which is operated by City Parking LLP. A map and directions are here.

Onsite pay machines are on the ground floor, or level 2 (walkway level) of the car park.

Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card on arrival or before departure.

Tariff Rates in the multi-storey Monday to Sunday are:

  • Up to 1 hour £4
  • 2-12 hours £8
  • 13 hours £12
  • 14-24 Hours £16

The multistorey has a height restriction of 1.9m. Drivers with vehicles over 1.9m should report to the Gatehouse to the west of the Scottish Event Campus (access from Stobcross Road) in the first instance and you will be directed to an available space.

Please note that residential parking cannot be accommodated at the SEC.

Wheelchairs

The Medical Centre at the east end of the concourse in the SEC has a limited number of wheelchairs that visitors can borrow for the duration of their visit.

Wheelchairs are allocated on a first come, first served basis and can be booked the day before your visit by emailing [email protected]. Or you can call 0141 275 6333.

Please note that wheelchairs can only be borrowed for a day at a time. Collection and drop off is at the Medical Centre.

Toilets

There are a number of accessible toilets on the ground floor and Level 2 of the venue. Radar keys for accessible toilets are available from stewards, or may be purchased from the Information Desk.

Changing Places Toilet

changing_places-onsite-services250px.jpgA Changing Places Toilet is available in the West lobby of Level 2. This is accessible by radar key. Radar keys are available from stewards, or may be purchased from the Information Desk on the ground floor.

Hearing Impairments

The Box Office has an induction loop system.

An infrared loop system is available in blocks 204, 205, 206, 213, 214 & 215 on Level 2, but operation is dependent on each individual event or performance so provision can vary. For more information about the availability of the infrared loop system in the venue please email [email protected].

Infrared receivers are available to borrow from the Information Desk on the ground floor.
