COVID Safety

When will the venue re-open for events?

The Scottish Event Campus is closed for events until further notice. Events due to take place over the coming months have either been cancelled or temporarily postponed.

Is my event cancelled, postponed or rescheduled?

We hope that the majority of those affected events can be rescheduled and are working with all organisers and promoters to find alternative dates. We will be communicating further on an event by event basis and would encourage people to visit the events listing page for the latest events or click here for information on events that have been rescheduled, postponed or cancelled across the campus.

What COVID safety measures will the venue be putting in place to keep visitors safe when we return to attending events?

Although the venue is currently closed for events, our teams have been working hard in the background to put in place new venue procedures, enhanced cleaning measures and plan for future events so they can take place safely. Full details of enhanced measures for specific events will be communicated to customers in advance of the event they’re attending, usually around 7 days before the event.

Will I have to wear a face covering?

Dependent on government advice at the time of the event you plan to attend, you may be asked to wear a face covering when visiting the venue. However further details of this will be confirmed nearer the date of the specific event you plan to attend.

Will I be allowed to bring a bag to the venue in future?

To allow us to maintain a reduced contact entry process, visitors will very likely be asked either not to bring any bags to the venue, or only bring a small, clear plastic bag with essential items. However, full details of new entry procedures and restrictions will be communicated to visitors before they attend.

Considering new COVID measures, will I be able to leave the venue and re-enter events, for instance to smoke outside?

To reduce visitor movement around the venue, through entry doors and maintain social distancing, it’s likely visitors will not be able to leave the venue and re-enter again. However, full details of any new venue policies will be communicated to visitors before they attend.

I have a disability. How will new COVID measures at the venue affect me?

We’re working hard to consider how new measures in place at the venue will affect all visitors. Some usual services available at the venue (wheelchair hire, sensory packs, etc.) may be altered, but more details of these changes will be communicated to customers before events re-start. If you have specific questions about your planned visit, please just email us at [email protected] and one of our team will be happy to answer.
